He thought man's furture would be a perfect world. He found a dark tomorrow of mystery and terror.

This is a book about an unnamed man who builds a time machine and goes into the furture. He thinks the people will be intellegent and the world full of advanced technology. But he is wrong! One day he saves a Eloi named Weena from drowning. He learns that there are two races that live on the world: Eloi and Morlocks. The Eloi are described as unintellagent and weak. The Morlocks are hairy and strong and intellegent. Even though the time traveller does not speak to the morlocks. I really enjoyed this novel. H. G. Wells write beautifully and has wonderful descriptions. The book is very well written.  My favorite part of the novel was the writing. The story was good too! I didn't really understand why the time traveller doesn't learn the language of the Eloi. That would have made the communication easier. I did like the science included in the novel. I also loved the open ending. Where is the time traveller? Is he dead or is he alive? We will never know.

"You look around at the people in your life, one by one, choosing to hold on to the ones who make you stronger and better, and letting go of the ones who don't."

This story is about a girl named Sam. She has OCD and anxiety and depression. She has best friends, who are more like the mean girls. They are the popular kids called "the crazy eights" and Sam doesn't feel like she belongs. One day Sam joins the poetry club and meets A.J. I really loved this book! I loved Sam's theripist, Sue. Sue gave Sam great ideas to deal with her mental illness. Sam's friends were horrible and unkind. There is a romantic relationship between Sam and A.J. I wanted Sam to tell people about her mental illness. I also loved the poetry in this book. This book has great themes, loving yourself and letting go of harmful people. I also loved Caroline and the magical twist.

"Beneath a diamond's Perfect surface lies a story of violence and greed. Just like bones."

This is about a murder of three newborn babies. Dr. Brennan tries to figure out who killed the babies and why. This book takes place in Canada. I didn't really like this book. This book is more about diamond mines then the murder of the three babies. Dr. Brennan doesn't listen to people and she gets into trouble and she seems to get out of trouble very easily. This book has a lot of info dumping. We learn about the diamond mines, which is later linked to the crime. I was interested in the babies plotline but we never found out and there was no closure to the story. I also didn't like the characters. They rubbed me the wrong way.

"Others found jobs but got paid for less than men-a fact not lost on cash-strapped employers. It was one employer said, the only real reason to hire women: They produce more and demand less."

This is about five women who flew airplanes in 1920s and 1930s. The book covers Florence Klingensmith, Ruth Elder, Amelia Earhart, Ruth Nichols and Louise Thaden. I was only familar with Earhart. During that time it was hard for women to work and make money. Women were the ones that stayed home and raised children. These women dealed with a lot. They had to work twice as hard as men. They were also judged and told to marry and have children. This book was a very informative read. I loved learning about these women and there suffering. I learned a lot while reading this. The audiobook is amazing!

"And then like Pandora, opening the great big box of the world and not being afraid, not even caring whether what's inside is good or bad. Because it is both. Everything is always both. But you have to open it to find that out."

This book is about a girl named Melanie. This is a zombie book. The book was slow at the start, then it get interesting. All the characters are unlikeable. We have Sergent Parks, Gallager, Miss Justineau: the teacher and Dr. Caldwell; the scientist that want to find a cure. Sergent Park and Gallager has an attraction to Miss Justineau. It rubbed me the wrong way. The characters also have flaws. I loved the real science in this book. The ending was amazing! It blew my mind! This book reminded me of I am legend and the walking dead tv show.

"We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words"

This is a story about a horse named Black Beauty. The book is told from the perspective of the horse named Black Beauty. The themes in this book are to treat animals with respect and to be nice to them. This book goes into extreme detail of the violence of ill treatment of horses. I learned a lot about how to take care of a horse and the breaking in of horses. The characters, horses and owners, were not well developed. The only developed character was Black Beauty himself. I didn't really like the mention of God and felt like Sewell was trying to convert us. This is a great book for 13 year olds and up. This book has violence, alchol, smoking and abuse.

"Sometimes there's nothing you can do. Sometimes they don't have enough to fight with."

This is the fourth book in the Circle of Magic series. This series is about kids who learn to be mages. There are different kinds of mages. Earth, Fire, Water and Air. This is Briar's Story. Briar is a theif and an Orphan. He learns how to be an earth mage. This book is centered on a pandemic. I really liked how Tamora explored the illness and how it spread. I liked how we learned more of Rosethorn's character. This novel made me cry. This book deals with death very well. I recommend this series for 12 years olds and above.

"In space, no one can hear you scream."

This is about 3 teenagers who is going to the moon. There is something on the moon that is unexplained. This book really scared me! I really liked the pacing of the book. It is slow at the begining and picks up pace. The unknown is what makes this book scary. I liked the characters and how they are flawed. I also liked how the teenagers were written as teenagers. I loved the perspectives of Mr. Himmelfarb. He knew something was on the moon but, his memory was fading. The twists got me everytime. Don't read this book at night! If you like survival horror you will like this book. This book should be turned into a movie!

"I had received an answer to the question that Holmes had put to me. Now all I needed to know was why I had asked it."

This book os told in the perpective of Watson, who shares this dark story to the reader. This book is set in London, 1890's and a gentleman asks Holmes to help him get rid of a scar- faced man that is following him. I have read a ton of mystery, so I thouhgt this book was ok. Don't get me wrong, I liked this dark, gritty mystery. I liked Watson's character and the banter between Watson and Holmes. The other characters were one dimentional and entered and exited the story fast. The narrator of the audiobook was hard to understand. There was also too many descriptions.

"Fabian had succeeded. She caught his eye and the two of them shared a look; it was the kind of look children wear when they know they're gotten away with something. At the same moment,Warwick and Florence also shared a look. Theirs was the kind of look adults wear when they know that somehow they have been well and truly hoodwinked, but are clueless as to the how and why and know only that there's absolutely nothing they can do about it."

This story is about a girl named Tanya, she can see fairies. She is sent to live with her grandmothers' house. Her grandmother lives in an old broken down house and there is a forest that is believed that fairies live there and they takes children away there. This book reminded me of Labryinth. We have freindly Fae creatures and unfreindly ones as well. The book also has a mystery underlining it as well. This book had a Gothic tone. It has violence; a crow peeks at a kids head. I loved the lore of the book. It had everything I loved in a book; a good mystery, good and bad fairies, a smart protagonist, and a gothic setting.

"She doesn't know how to feel safe." As I said it I knew it was true. "We will have to teach her how."

This is about a girl named Maresi. She lives on an island, where only women live. The girls on the island are taught by the first mother. One day, Jai comes to the Island to escape her father. This book was very good. This book has dark topics like rape and abuse. I really liked Maresi and it felt like the book had a magical feeling. The culture and God-like religion was inseresting. I really liked the writing. It was very simple. The narrator who read this was very good at depicting the character of Maresi. This is one dystopian that everyone needs to read.

"Your Morality isn't the only Morality in the world. Just because it's yours doesn't mean it's right."

This is the second book of the Anna series. Anna is in Hell. Cas is obsessed with her. He begins to see her and he thinks she is suffering. I had problems with this novel. 1) The characters weren't their normal selves. Carmel leaves the group. Cas is second guessing himself. 2) The grown ups don't take Cas serously, They tell him to forget about her. Hello! They knew about Anna from book 1. 3) It was slow until it got halfway though. There is also a new character that is a badass. Blake tries to make a love triangle but it is loveless. I liked the Suicide forest scene and the setting was in London. I also loved the ending.
