"I cry for everyone I've hurt withdrawing from life. Mom never stops stroking my shoulder,
or my hair, a gentle contact anchoring me. I pull in a slow , deep cooling breath and realize the hurt has lessened. I feel scraped and stinging inside, gutted like the jack-o'-lantern sitting on the ground outside the clinic door. Except somewhere in the
aching emptiness I see a spark, a flicker of my own, the light Daniel would've wanted me to finally find. Hope."
This book is about a girl named Emma, she is greifing over her boyfriend Daniel's Death. Then one day she meets Alex Frank and she is swooning
over him. This book was an overall disappointment. I love Frankenstein and reimaging of Frankenstien from movies, books and tv shows. I thought I was going to love this. BOY WAS I WRONG! Emma is emo, emotional and not looking for love until she meets Alex Franks
(the new boy in town). She falls head over heels in love with him. This definitely had more romance than horror. I didn't really like the characters so, I didn't care what was happening to them. I did like the writing. The story gets really good in the last
50 pages. I also felt like nothing really was happening. This book was also predictable.
